Dr. Aleksandr Shibko is an accomplished dentist experienced in the arts of dental prosthesis and restorative sciences. He settled in the western suburbs with his wife (a dentist as well) and their daughter and son. They enjoy the four seasons in Minnesota by participating in outdoor activities all year.

Dr. Aleksandr Shibko exceeds the state's required number of dental continuing education courses thus enriching our dental office with cutting edge technologies. Dr. Shibko works in St. Louis Park.














Dr. Melissa Thalken    earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota-Duluth and received her DDS from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry. Prior to joining Excel Dentistry, Dr. Thalken (Sadlovsky) was an associate in a group practice in the Twin Cities for four years. She is a member of the American Dental Association and Minnesota Dental Association.
Dr. Thalken enjoys working with people. She believes in providing
quality, comprehensive, individualized care in a friendly environment that promotes building a relationship between the dental healthcare team and the patient.
In her free time, Dr. Thalken enjoys spending time with her family and friends, snow and water skiing, exercising, reading, and watching movies. Dr. Thalken practices in St. Louis Park. 















Dr. Amber Zedler   received her undergraduate degree from the University of South Dakota.  She graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry.  She is a member of the Minnesota Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.  Dr. Zedler (Bartel) enjoys the one-on-one nature of patient care.  She values making the patient’s experience comfortable and relaxed. Dr. Zedler enjoys working with patients of all ages.  In her free time, Dr. Zedler enjoys the outdoors, reading, and anything artistic or crafty. Dr. Zedler practices in Albertville.











Dr. Chris Hormuth is a native Minnesotan and has lived in the northwest metro for over ten years. He received his B.S. degree in Kinesiology and his D.D.S. degree from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Hormuth maintains memberships in the American Dental Association, Minnesota Dental Association, Minneapolis District Dental Society, Academy of Sports Dentistry, National Athletic Trainers Association and Minnesota Athletic Trainers Association.

Dr. Hormuth enjoys staying up to date on the latest topics and techniques in dentistry and regularly exceeds requirements for continuing education.

When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Hormuth enjoys many outdoor activities, photography, traveling and completing projects around the house. He and his wife Amy live in Dayton with their golden retriever Norm.

Dr. Hatem Alassy  is a part-time instructor at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, where he enjoys teaching new dentists the fundamentals of fillings, crowns and other restorative sciences.  This progressive training gives him the expertise to treat problems with advanced techniques and perform procedures using cutting edge technology. 
In the decade since his graduation from dental school, Dr. Alassy has traveled and lived in several states. He settled in Minneapolis in 2004. He still loves to travel and visit new places. He thoroughly enjoys Minnesotan activities such as downhill skiing and kayaking.
